Welcome to the ACT Academy of Sport (ACTAS) on-line application service. This site will allow you to apply for the 2025 Individual Athlete Program.
Prior to completing the online application process for the Individual Athlete Program, applicants should ensure they have read and understood the content of the 2025 Individual Athlete Program Application Guidelines. A sound understanding of these guidelines will ensure applicants confirm the following, prior to undertaking the application process:
- Their eligibility,
- Their understanding of the application process and assessment
Once an eligible applicant has confirmed the above, the next step is to complete this online Application Process.
Individual scholarships are only available to athletes in Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games sports* where ACTAS does not host a high performance program. In 2025 ACTAS has partnered programs (or formal performance support arrangements**) with the following sports: Athletics, Cycling, Hockey, Rowing and Swimming**.
* Applications are open to athletes categorised in disciplines/events that are featured in the 2026 Commonwealth Games, 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, and confirmed for the 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games programs.
Athletes can reside in the ACT or surrounding region; however assistance is only available to athletes who are registered as a competitor with a recognised ACT State Sporting Organisation (SSO) that is affiliated with a National Sporting Organisation (NSO), that is recognised by the Australian Sports Commission.
(Please note that the SSO must be recognised as the peak state body).
Scholarships are not available for athletes in veterans or master age groups.
The closing date for applications is 11:59pm, Wednesday 14 May 2025.
It is important to note that ACTAS will send applications for assistance to athletes respective National Sporting Organisation (NSO) for endorsement.
